Answer:

1.  Poetic device writer uses to help draw readers into the story of a narrative poem: creating momentum through the use of rhythm.

2. Poetic devices used to create musical language of a free verse writer: assonance, narrative, rhyme, point of view

3. One of the main functions of chorus in Antigone is: to provide background information

Explanation:

Poetic device is a kind of literary device used in a poem. Poets always want the readers to get engaged in their poems. They do this by either using a particular kind of rhythm, or using metaphor, alliteration, imagery, assonance and so on.

Free verse is a kind of poem in which poet is free to use no rhyme or rhyme only for a few lines in the poem.

To draw the readers into the story of a narrative poem, writer creates a momentum through the use of rhythm.

The poetic device used to create musical language in a free verse is assonance, narrative, rhyme, point of view.

In Antigone, the chorus is a group of old Theban man because the young ones have died in the battle. They affect the action of the play. They need to provide some historical background and details. Also, they connect play with other myths.

When the sun comes up over the horizon we say it
Georgia [21]

-- rises

-- rose

-- has risen

We say it is 'rising,' but this is apparent motion, and not true motion. The same is true for the rising and setting of the moon and fixed stars.

There is another spectacular example of apparent motion that is different from true motion. Because the moon 'rises' in the east and 'sets' in the west, it is easy to think that it is "moving" from east to west. In fact, the moon's orbit around the earth is from west to east. The slow (monthly) orbit of the moon along with the 24-hour rotation of the earth give us the impression of the moon's apparent motion.
