Hi :) You don't need to get their slope-intercept form to know how many solutions this linear system has. Since there are two variable and 2 independent equations, there would be two solutions. One value each for the x and y variables.

The answer is B.

Answer: UV = 52

Concept:

Additive property of length, or the segment addition postulate, states that given 2 points A and C, a third point B lies on the line segment AC if and only if the distances between the points satisfy the equation AB + BC = AC.

Solve:

Given information

TU = 4x

UV = 2x + 14

TV = 7x - 5

Given expression deducted from the additive property of length

TV = TU + UV

Substitute values into the expression

7x - 5 = 4x + 2x + 14

Combine like terms

7x - 5 = 6x + 14

Subtract 6x on both sides

7x - 5 - 6x = 6x + 14 - 6x

x - 5 = 14

Add 5 on both sides

x - 5 + 5 = 14 + 5

x = 19

Find UV by substituting the value of x

UV = 2x + 14 = 2 (19) + 14 = \boxed{52}

Hope this helps!! :)

Which of the following pairs of units of measurement are equivalent to each other?
evablogger [386]

Answer:

The correct options are:

 • cubic decimeter and liter
 • cubic centimeter and milliliter

Step-by-step explanation:

1) The 1 cubic decimeter is equal to the 1 liter.

dm^3= 1 L

2) The 1 cubic centimeter is equal to the 1 milliliter.

cm^3=1 mL

3) Since,1 cubic decimeter is equal to the 1 liter.

So,dm\neq 1L

4) Since, 1 quart = 0.946353 L

quart\neq liter

5) Since,The 1 cubic centimeter is equal to the 1 milliliter.

So, 1 millimeter ≠ 1 deciliter

6) Since,1 gram = 0.035274 ounces

So, 1 gram ≠ 1ounce

AC is common between triangle ABC and triangle CDA...
Angle ABC=angle CDA ( opposite angles in parallelogram are equal)
So both triangles are congruent ( 1 common line and 2 equal angles)

In the function y = (23)^x + 11, the asymptote located at y = ___?
yan [13]
When x goes to minus infinity, the 23^{x} portion goes to 0. What is then left is:

y = 11.

So there's your asymptote.
