But it naturally raises the question of how, in Rogerian theory, one could explain the personality of people who seem oriented t

oward evil rather than positively-oriented growth. In other words, what about Hitler? Mass murderers? Etc. How could one posit a self-actualization theory in the face of such cases?

Answer:

Kindly find the underneath as plausible answer and explanation to the question.

Explanation:

To begin with, it is important to properly understand the concept of self actualization. Self actualization is simply referred to a state whereby an individual reaches his/her full potentials. Suffix to say, these potentials cut across his/her fundamental needs.

For Rogers, to self actualize simply means to advance in ones endeavour, to be more responsible and rise up to accountability. Rogers in his study emphasize the need for an individual to live a good life. The challenge here however is what do we define as a good life.

To some individuals, a good life is probably setting a breakthrough in technology and what have you. However, to others, life offers a different narrative, and their definition of what life is good differs. Conquest of territories as set out by Hitler in his voyage could be argued to be a trip in pursuant of what he feels a good life his. Man has a greater purpose and scope.

In sum, under the context of positive oriented and/or evil, individuals have varying understanding to what is good or evil. This obviously form the basis upon which their self actualization rest on. Hence, for Rogers, there's no one cap fits all, as each scenario will be understand in line with what is generally to be viewed as good or evil by a race or culture.

As the older Sayuri narrates her story, it almost seems as though she presents Chiyo and Sayuri as two different people. In what
butalik [34]

Answer:

Inside our history there are a number of occurrences that compels us to think over again the different actions of ours and the way that we live today. There is no second thought or idea when we say men and woman have the same rights to live there lives more freely. But, it is very unfortunate that till this date there are some regions across the globe that human trade still exist and it has not started just now, but there are different cultures in which the trend existed from centuries.

  • Same is the case for an innocent child who's basic right to live with freedom and honor was confiscated by her own family and she was then left all alone to face the most unfortunate situation that she described in her writings after she got free from that fell place.
  • Sayuri is much different then the child that she was once, as she now has seen the brutality of all mankind and that she had faced some of the worst situation, starting from being sold to some strangers who treated her badly and then to been imprisoned by those men in such an unbearable situation. While, the littel child Chiyo is way different then her as she knows how to smile freely and has the freedom to speak. And more importantly the little child was not all alone but she was accompanied by her family irrespective of there financial and social situation she had her.
  • Its more obvious that human nature never changes when the women got free, she again had the same smile and will to live freely. And along with that being able to tell her story to the people around her and then to the whole world makes her the same child again, who was known as Chiyo.
