Answer:

Given system of inequalities,

2x + y < 0 --------(1)

y ≥ -4 - 2x ------(2),

The related equation of inequality (1) is,

2x + y = 0

Which is a line which passes through the origin.

'<' shows the dotted line.

Now, the related equation of the inequality (2),

y = -4 - 2x

Which is also a line having x-intercept (-2,0) and y-intercept (0,-4),

And, 0 ≥ -4 - 2(0) ( True )

Thus, the area of inequality (2) must be contain the origin.

Also, '≥' shows the solid line.

Hence, by the above explanation we can plot the both inequality on a graph.

And, the solution of the system of these inequalities is the feasible region of the inequalities.( shown below )

Describe the process of how to find the volume of a prism but in your own words
Anton [14]

Answer:

Please check explanations

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, we want to make a description

Mathematically, a prism is a solid shape with parallel bases, separated by a particular height

To find the volume of the prism, all we have to do is to find the area of one of the bases

After this, we then multiply the value obtained by the height of the prism. This gives the volume of the prism

JIM'S BACKYARD IS A RECTANGLE THAT IS 15 5/6 YARDS LONG AND 10 2/5 YARDS WIDE. JIM BUYS SOD IN PIECES THAT ARE 1 1/3 YARDS LONG
Stolb23 [73]
Jim's backyard:
15 5/6 yd long
10 2/5 yd wide

Sod pieced:
1 1/3 yd long
1 1/3 yd wide

Area of backyard:
15 5/6 times 10 2/5 =
164 2/3 yd

Area of Sod Piece:
1 1/3 times 1 1/3 =
1 7/9 yd

Divide area of backyard by area of sod piece :
164 2/3 divided by 1 7/9 =
92 5/8

He will need to buy 93 pieces of sod to cover his backyard.

A company gives raises once a year. Amir's present salary is $12,000. His manager would like to raise Amir's salary to $84,000.
krek1111 [17]
Since $12,000 would be her whole current salary, I would just divide $84,000 by $12,000 because i know 12 can go into 84 evenly.

84,000 ÷ 12,000 = 7

Since it goes in to 84,000 evenly by 7 times, the raise would be 700%.

What is the slope of the line show belowww
zaharov [31]

Answer:

\boxed{C.\:\: 2}

Step-by-step explanation:

The given line passes through the points,

(x_1,y_1)=(-2,-3) and (x_2,y_2)=(3,7).

We can find the slope using the following;

m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

or

m=\frac{y_1-y_2}{x_1-x_2}

Using the first formula;

We obtain;

m=\frac{7--3}{3--2}

\Rightarrow m=\frac{7+3}{3+2}

\Rightarrow m=\frac{10}{5}

\Rightarrow m=2

The correct answer is C.
