2. "Spatial analysis is a type of geographical analysis which seeks to explain patterns of human behavior and its spatial expression in terms of mathematics and geometry, that is, locational analysis", "Examples include nearest neighbor analysis and Thiessen polygons"

3. "the study of the physical features of the earth and its atmosphere, and of human activity as it affects and is affected by these, including the distribution of populations and resources, land use, and industries."

4. physical: study of earth's/nature's features (climate, plate tectonics, etc.), human: study of impact/behavior or humans, how they act and react to/in the physical world, etc.

5. "a diagrammatic representation of an area of land or sea showing physical features, cities, roads, etc."

6. "science or practice of drawing maps"

Air at sea level with a temperature of 24° C is forced up a mountain slope and the dew point temperature is 8° C. At what elevat
aev [14]

Answer:

1968.85 meters

Explanation:

The Lifting condensation level (LCL) is defined as the height at which a parcel of air is completely saturated i.e the relative humidity of the air parcel reaches a 100%. All this must occur through dry adiabatic lifting.

At sea level, the pressure is given as 101.3kPa

air parcel temperature = 24°C

dew point temperature = 8°C

Using the LCL calculator, the pressure at which saturation occurs to the air parcel is 79.92KPa.

NB: LCL occurs through dry adiabatic lifting whereby the pressure on the air parcel reduces with height.

Using the hypsometric formula We can now convert the pressure into height

h = ((p1/p)^1/5257)-1 X (T + 273.15))/0.0065

where h= height, p1= Sea level pressure, p= atmospheric pressure, T = air temperature

h = ((101.3/79.92)^1/5257)-1 X (4+273.15))/0.0065 = 1968.85 meters

6. Explain why the warmest time of the day is usually in the afternoon, even though the sun’s rays are most direct at noon.
Leviafan [203]
Solar noon depicts the time when incoming solar radiation is the greatest. But there continues to be a surplus of incoming solar radiation versus outgoing infrared radiation until late afternoon. That is what I got from one of my class' flashcards. Hope this helps!
