C. by digging deeper into the tels of southern Mesopotamia.

"Tel" is an Arabic word for a tall hill or mound. These mounds are created by people building and rebuilding on the same city site for hundreds of years or more.

One of the most ancient settlements in Mesopotamia was Eridu. The tell at Eridu is a very large mound, hundreds of meters across. Settlement there dates back over 5,000 years BC. The height of the tel is over 20 feet, and includes ruins of houses, temples, and cemeteries built on top of one another for several thousand years..

I believe the answer is: C. by digging deeper into the tels of southern Mesopotamia

After Digging deeper to the tels, the archaeologist managed to found and older building structure which burried deep below ancient mesotopamia. It is predicted that the earlier ancient cities were at least around 4000 years older than Ancient mesopotamia.

The convention nominated former Senator John Tyler from Virginia for Vice President. The two would go on to win the 1840 presidential election by defeating Van Buren. Because Harrison (born in Virginia) was considered a Northerner (as a resident of Ohio), the Whigs needed to balance the ticket with a Southerner.
