Agrarian societies took fundamental steps backward in the area of technology.truefaulse

I am going to say: True

If you recall, an agrarian society is a society that relies on crops as their main source of income. The economy is based on crop production.

Before the Civil War, the south was considered an agrarian society, because all the south knew how to do is grow crops and export them. In the north, before and after the Civil War,  their economy relied heavily on factories, which back then was a form of technology.

In this day and age, technology is vital to our economy. Farming in this age is typically small scale or commercial. With technology we are able to improve people's lives (medicine) and improve crop yield, which means you don't need as many farms now as you did back then.

Hopefully this helped and good luck.

What structural characteristic made Joseph Paxton's Crystal Palace unconventional?
vitfil [10]
The correct answer is that the iron support structure was visible

When you build something, the structural points such as pillars are usually not easily discernible to the untrained eye because they fit right there with the remaining walls and things like plaster or bricks. However, his Palace was built out of Glass so the iron supporting structures could easily be seen and it looked great.
