Answer:It could have been avoided it West Pakistan treated East Pakistan as if they were connected, but because they shared such different opinions in politics, language, and overall standard of living, it became impossible for them to survive as a single nation. If they were seeking to maintain one nation they would have to agree on compromises and fairly divide up the power in order to survive.
