George Washinton’s opinion on bigotry is that people need to respect different ideas. Diversity must be respected and religious thoughts, tolerated.
In the book “Washington Rebukes Bigotry”, the authors use the letter that Washinton wrote to the Hebrew Congregation in Newport, Rhode Island in 1970 to comment on religious freedom, diversity, and tolerance. In that letter, George Washinton refers to the religious harmony that should exist in order to maintain the order and peace in a diverse society. That is why Patel refers to the idea of working together despite different backgrounds and beliefs.

George Washington's view on bigotry was that people who do not value variety and religious freedom are bigots and this is what is found in Patel's point of view which is that people need to work together regardless of their religion.
