Standard of living in Afghanistan:

As far as the economic growth rate is concerned, Afghanistan stands first among the countries of the Middle East that show the slowest and poorest of it.
Most population relies on agriculture for occupation and is under poverty.
The foreign aids pumped by other countries have kept the economy of Afghanistan alive.
The expenditure done on health and basic necessities like food, water, and shelter are totally dependent on aids received from outside.
The literacy rate in Afghanistan is also the lowest among all the Middle East countries as the penetration of basic education facilities is not up to the mark.
