How did religious differences lead to conflicts in Europe during the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries?

History

The conflicts began with the minor Knights' Revolt (1522), followed by the larger German Peasants' War (1524–1525) in the Holy Roman Empire. Warfare intensified after the Catholic Church began the Counter-Reformation in 1545 against the growth of Protestantism. The conflicts culminated in the Thirty Years' War (1618–1648), which devastated Germany and killed one-third of its population. The Peace of Westphalia (1648) put an end to the war by recognising three separate Christian traditions in the Holy Roman Empire: Roman Catholicism, Lutheranism, and Calvinism. Although many European leaders were 'sickened' by the bloodshed by 1648, religious wars continued to be waged in the post-Westphalian period until the 1710s, and collective memory of the wars lasted even longer.

What were the rulings on gods vs lopez (1975). Help!!!
cluponka [151]

Hey there! I'm happy to help!

Goss vs. Lopez was a Supreme Court Case that said that a student cannot be suspended from school without a notice and hearing.

What happened is that 9 students in the Columbus School District in Ohio were suspended for misconduct and they weren't given a notice or a hearing of some sort. So, they, led by the student Dwight Lopez filed a lawsuit against  the school district, represented by Norval Goss, head of the department of pupil personnel.

The Supreme Court ruled in favor of Lopez and stated that what the principals in the school district were doing was unconstitutional and infringed on the 14th amendment due process rights of the students, so they would have to be allowed a notice and a hearing before suspension.

The French in North America, as compared with the British:a. did not resort to violence or cruelty when confronted with Indian o
SOVA2 [1]

Answer:

Option: b. tended to have better relations with the Indians.

Explanation:

French had a better relationship with the Native Americans compare to the British in the New World. They maintain a peaceful relationship by signing treaties that helped french traders relying on Native Indians for survival and fur trade. French traders took furs pelts from Native Indians, and in return, gave European goods like metal goods (utensils), textiles, and weapons. French respected the Native Indians and married Native Women, which helped them at the beginning of a good relationship.
