Explanation: In some cases, the measurement may be so difficult that a 10 % error or even higher may be acceptable. In other cases, a 1 % error may be too high. Most high school and introductory university instructors will accept a 5 % error.

Melting ice is raising the water level in the oceans. Where is the ice coming from? What else is causing the ocean levels to ris
Tpy6a [65]
OK. So, first question first. The ice is a result of the water temperature dropping below 32 degrees Fahrenheit or 0 degrees Celsius. Question 2. There is a lot of things that could be happening to cause the ocean levels to rise. Such as Global Warming and the glaciers melting because of it. I know of some glaciers that melt at a rate of about 2 inches per year. Question 3. 80% of the light that hits polar ice is reflected back into space. Question 4. As far as I know, it doesn't do anything to reduce global warming. But then of course, I don't have as high of an education as some professional biologists. Question 5. Some energy is absorbed by the water. Some of it is reflected back into space. Again, I'm not quite sure, as I don't have as high of an education as some professional scientists. Question 6. It speeds up the melting of the ice because the sun is directly shining on it, therefore the ice is receiving quite a bit of heat. Question 7. The gulf stream is a powerful current in the Atlantic Ocean. Question 8. Not quite sure how it helps the climate in Europe. That might be a question to ask your science teacher. Question 9. Again, not quite sure. You should ask your science teacher. Question 10. It has made the temperature in them much warmer than before. Question 11. Well for starters, it has increased the rate of Forest Fires and House Fires therefore putting humans at a greater risk, as they could be inside their homes when they catch on fire, or they could be camping or something like that if a forest fire breaks out. That is pretty much all I know about how it affects humans. Question 12. I don't believe there is anything that we can do to reverse global warming, but we can reduce it by pumping less and less harmful toxins into the air, such as Carbon Monoxide. That is all I have for you today. Please let me know if this helped you out in any way!

Aspirin and other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID)inhibit inflammation by inhibiting an enzyme in the prostaglandin
Drupady [299]

Answer:

Aspirin works by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins. Aspirin inhibits the formation of prostaglandins by combining with the COX enzymes. Prostaglandins function as messenger molecules to monitor different physiological procedures in distinct regions of the body. One of the prime activities of prostaglandins is to stimulate inflammation and pain.

Prostaglandins are also the essential controller of platelet aggregation. By changing the COX enzymes inside the platelets, aspirin makes platelets to lose the stickiness, which is required to instigate clotting of blood.

There are two forms of cyclooxygenase, that is, COX-1 and COX-2. COX-1 generates prostaglandins and COX-2 mediates pain and swelling in response to tissue injury. Aspirin prevents both COX-1 and COX-2 functioning, while COX-2 is the therapeutic target of the drug.

However, it is the association of aspirin with COX-1 in the gastrointestinal tract, which results in the unwanted side effects of the drug. COX-1 is required to sustain a thick lining of the stomach. As aspirin inhibits the COX-1 enzyme, thus, the continuous use of the drug can result in the thinning of mucus, which safeguards the stomach from gastric juices.

In such cases, stomach bleeding, ulcers, and in certain situations perforation of the stomach can take place. Therefore, aspirin exhibits both bad and good effects.
