President Roosevelt opposed the ban on monopolies, instead, he wanted the federal government to take power into its hands and assume regulation and supervision over all corporations that did interstate business.

President Woodrow Wilson believed that the monopolies should be burst in the courts, he did not agree with the fact that Roosevelt wanted to regulate them. Wilson wanted to eliminate monopolies by reviving competitions making bank reforms and tariff reductions.
