Read the excerpt from Ernest Hemingway’s “Soldier's Home.” Nothing was changed in the town except that the young girls had grown

up. They all wore sweaters and shirt waists with round Dutch collars. It was a pattern. He liked to look at them from the front porch as they walked on the other side of the street. He liked to watch them walking under the shade of the trees. He liked the round Dutch collars above their sweaters. He liked their silk stockings and flat shoes. He liked their bobbed hair and the way they walked. The author’s short, descriptive sentences reflect Krebs’s thought process and his feelings about the girls. illustrate the anger that Krebs feels toward the people in his town. express the shame that Krebs feels for lying to the girls. demonstrate Krebs’s hopes and dreams for the future.

reflect Krebs’s thought process and his feelings about the girls.

The excerpt shows Kreb's thoughts about the girls. He starts by reflecting how things have not changed but have changed. He details the changes in the girls since they've now grown up, and he talks about their clothing. His actions when watching the girls shows that he sees them from a dsitance and doesn't get involved with them. The passage does not reveal anything about shame, hopes, dreams, or anger so these options are all incorrect.

GrogVix [38]

Answer:

The community is safer because no one will become heartbroken and act out. People tend to act out of anger or sadness when they are hurt meaning this could cause violent problems or problems in general. So it is better that no one feels anything at all. Love does add happiness to our lives because if you need support after going through something rough or you just need to heal love always helps. Love can help the hurt and broken it always helps to have a loving relationship with someone. Love can cause sadness especially when you and someone you love breaks up or something terrible happens to them. Love can certainly hurt but it will heal eventually with others caring and support. -Your friend, Bill Cipher

Explanation: P.S. Enjoy the book it is really good :)

Read the phrase.

A, by adding a subject and a verb.

And no, it doesn't change it into a sentence, it is still a clause.

For example:
Meanwhile, with the golden and yellow flowers growing...

See, I added a subject and a verb, but it is still a clause because what happens while the flowers are growing is still unknown.

Hope this helps baiii <3
