Answer:

Both of these movements caused a lasting impact on European society.

Protestant Reformation brought awareness among people who begin to question the teachings of the Catholic church. They started to realize the power of individuality and how can it bring changes in society leading to the rise of capitalism.

The scientific revolution was the product of the protestant revolution. Many things were invented, for example, the printing press which helped to spread the original copies of the bible. These reformations encouraged people to discard old beliefs.

The Protestant Reformation was mainly against the Roman Catholic Church of Europe, this movement was against some practices that happened during that time. Protestantism argued that the Roman Catholic Church was getting away from the bible and because of that the movement insisted on the importance of the scripture and the importance of personal faith in salvation. This led to a freedom of religion and emphasis on personal faith and conscience, that was also important in the advance of individualism - Enlightenment - and the liberal reforms that came later with it.

The Scientific Revolution was also important because it removed scholasticism and the beginning of modern science. The creation of methods of observation, experiments and reason. These new methods brought scientific advances that expanded science. All of this also resulted in the application of the scientific method to humanistic, social and political issues that pushed the advance of individualism.

In one or two sentences, list two reasons why the Marshall Plan succeeded
Crank
The reconstruction plan, developed at a meeting of the participating European states, was drafted on June 5, 1947. It offered the same aid to the Soviet Union and its allies, but they refused to accept it,[8][9] as doing so would allow a degree of US control over the communist economies.[10] In fact, the Soviet Union prevented its satellite states (i.e., East Germany, Poland, etc.) from accepting. Secretary Marshall became convinced Stalin had no interest in helping restore economic health in Western Europe.[11]

What are two reasons that the Spanish in French colonized America
skelet666 [1.2K]
They ended up colonizing North America for different economic reasons. Spain colonized America because they were searching for gold and silver. They did find a lot of gold and silver when they conquered the Aztec and Inca Empires. France colonized North America because of the great amount of furs they found there and to create trading posts.

Which of the following president is most responsible for expanding the power of the presidency through the use of executive orde
bija089 [108]

The president who was most responsible for expanding the power of the presidency through the use of executive orders was Andrew Jackson. He dictated twelve executive orders, being the first American president to exceed ten executive orders during his term.

Executive orders are provisions issued by the President of the United States that administer the operations of the executive branch of the federal government.

Executive orders belong to administrative law, but have the force of law only when they are based on the executive powers granted directly to the President of the United States by the Constitution (Article II), or are dictated according to laws of Congress that explicitly delegate to the President a certain degree of discretionary power (delegated legislation).
