Prohibition banned alochal, which started speakizes, illgeal clubs that served alochal. Women got the right to vote with the 19th admendment gave white women the right to vote. Women started wearing their hair in bobs, and their hemlines got shorter. An icon of the 20's was flappers, which is what you normally think of. They started dance moves like the charleston and are known for their rebelious lifestyles.
