Which approach is not used when making an appeal to pathos?
Maru [420]

The correct answer is: attention to facts and statistics

When making an appeal to pathos in a speech or in text, one would not focus their attention on facts and statistics. This is because an appeal to pathos is a rhetoric technique, where a writer or speaker persuades the audience of his or her point of view by using emotional appeal. In order to elicit emotions in their readers, individuals using pathos utilize techniques, including:

-Emotional or passionate statements

-Vivid descriptions or images

-Personal stories or memories

Interpret: what lesson about loyalty does the tale of Sir Bedivere and the sword suggest?
azamat

In the Matter of Britain, the story of Sir Bedivere and the sword is a lesson of loyalty because Sir Bedivere questioned the order of King Arthur and as a consequence, Arthur was not healed by the lady on the lake. In this story King Arthur order Sir Bedivere, the Knight of the Round Table, to throw the sword in the lake; however Sir Bedivere did not listen until King Arthur tell him three times since he didn't know the lady on the lake was going to heal King Arthur. If Sir Bedivere had been loyal to the mandate from the beggining, King Arthur would had a better chance to be healed.
