If we can clean the ocean by removing the larger plastics currently polluting it we can help prevent that plastic from breaking down into micro plastics. Micro plastics are small plastic pieces that were broken down from larger plastics. Also we can recycle and prevent land paves.

All of the other animals in the food web would also die due to their lack of food supplies. The populations of the consumers would fall as the population of the producer fell.
