Is 5/6  greater than, less than or equal to 7/9
In order to solve this, the fractions must have common denominators.
5/6 = 15/18
7/9= 14/18

15>14  therefore 15/18 > 14/18 and 5/6 > 7/9

The line at the bullet roller coaster is moving about 4 feet for every 15 minutes. At this rate, how many hours would it take fo
Brums [2.3K]

Answer:

90

Step-by-step explanation:

4/15 which is our fraction distance/time

our other fraction is 24/x (x is our variable to find our time)

Now we are doing the buultterfly method

set it up

now multiply 4*x= 4x

15*24=360

now divide 4x ÷ 4 to get our variable alone

do the same to the other side

4 ÷ 360= 90

so x= 90 which is our missing number

Round 3184.5641 to the nearest hundred
Sonja [21]
When you round you have to check the number to the right of the number you are rounding. If the number to the right is 0-4 then you keep the number the same. 5-9 the number you are rounding goes up by one. Now the 4 before the decimal point is in the ones spot. The 5 to the right of the 4 is the tenth spot and the 6 to the right of that is in the hundredth spot. so this is where we need to round. To the right of the 6 is a 4 so the number would stay the same. Now when you round you drop all the numbers after it so the number is 3184.56

An investment banker deposited $50,000 in an account earning a nominal 6% per year compounded continuously. How much was in the
Orlov [11]

Answer:

The amount in the account at the end of three years will be $59,861.

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula to compute the amount at the end of <em>t</em> years, compounded continuously is:

A=P\times e^{t\times i}

Here,

A = Amount at the end

P = Principal amount

i = interest rate

t = number of years.

It is provided that:

P = $50,000

i = 6%

t = 3 years

Compute the amount in the account at the end of three years as follows:

A=P\times e^{t\times i}

   =50000\times e^{(3\times 0.06)}\\=50000\times 1.19722\\=59861

Thus, the amount in the account at the end of three years will be $59,861.
