The Southern Colonies were established mostly for economic reasons.
The Southern colonies in America were Maryland, Virginia, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. These colonies grew their own food and had some production to export. The soil of these territories was good for agriculture and people began to work in farming the fields. One good example was Virginia, where John Rolfe seeded some tobacco seeds he brought from the Caribbean island of Trinidad, and the tobacco leaf resulted in more grey and bitter. It was exported and was well accepted in Britain. Tobacco became the king in the region.
In general, history is the recorded story of the interaction between "ideas" "people" and "patterns", since it is the way in which people act and make decisions that influences their collective history.
