D. All of the Above

This is D, of course because people have rights to privacy, rights to vote and vote free from both intimidation and coercion and everyone who votes is treated equally. (here's a hint) when ever you see a question like this with a choice that says all of the above, It usually really is all of the above.

There has been a mix-up in the lab, and you have been asked to decipher which vial of cell-free extract is from which experiment
USPshnik [31]

The citric acid cycle can be associated with the first vial. Glycolysis can be associated with the second vial. The chemiosmosis can be combined with the third vial and the electron transport chain can be combined with the fourth vial.

We can arrive at this answer because:

  • The citric acid cycle is called the Krebs Cycle. Oxaloacetate is an intermediate compound in the Krebs cycle. The first vial has a high concentration of oxaloacetate and therefore we can associate it with the citric acid cycle.
  • Pyruvate is the end product of glycolysis and has a high concentration in the second vial, which can be associated with glycolysis.
  • The electron transport chain produces a large amount of ATP, which can be associated with the fourth vial which contains a large concentration of ATP.
  • Chemosmosis is the movement of ions across the plasma membrane. It does not produce, nor does it promote a high concentration of any element, which justifies our association in the third vial.

The vial and the products they contain can be seen in the figure below.
