Answer:

(2, -7)

Step-by-step explanation:

The image is the point after the transformation. So basically we want to move backwards. the transformation is (x-6, y+8) so that means we want to find when we go in reverse, or in other words (x+6, y-8) from the image (-4, 1)

(x+6, y-8)

(-4+6, 1-8)

(2, -7)

You can check by transforming this point witht he transformation properly. And just a reminder (x-6, y+8) mans left 6 and up 8

[Right Triangles Only] Pythagorean Theorem: a² + b² = c²

  • a is a leg
  • b is another leg
  • c is the hypotenuse

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1: Define

Identify variables

a = 12 cm

c = 17 cm

Step 2: Solve for b

  1. Substitute in variables [Pythagorean Theorem]:                                            12² + b² = 17²
  2. Evaluate exponents:                                                                                         144 + b² = 289
  3. [Subtraction Property of Equality] Subtract 144 on both sides: b² = 145
  4. [Equality Property] Square root both sides: b = √145
  5. [√Radical] Evaluate:                                                                                         b = 12.0416
  6. Round:                                                                                                               b ≈ 12.0

I need to know the answer
guapka [62]
If you find the least common multiple of both numbers, this will give you the information you will need to get your answer. Each revolution would include all teeth going around. The list of multiples for 24 are 24, 48, 72, 96, 120. The list for 40 are 40, 80, 120. This means at 120, they would be in the same place again. For the first gear to get to 120, it would take 5 rotations the fifth number in the list of multiples for 24). I hope this helps!
