Florida is one of the states with the highest concentration of Hispanics in the United States. Hispanics in Florida are major contributors to the states economic, political and social development. In comparison with other groups, Hispanics have increasing rates of employment, of high school and college graduation rates, and Hispanic owned businesses are a major contributor to Florida’s economy. In addition, the many different influences and cultures from Latinos of different backgrounds, make Florida a cultural melting pot that shapes Florida’s sports, culinary and music scenes.
