walking home from a friend's house, you see an alien ship land. explain what happened next? ( 250 words)
lutik1710 [3]
A very ominous fog escapes the opening of the ship. A strange creature with the build of a chihuahua walks towards me. I step back in fear as the creature balances himself on his hind legs. He stares at me for a solid minute. The fear coursing through me blocks my common sense. The chihuahua creature coughs as a way to clear his throat. An evil grin makes its way to his face as he shortens the space between us. Behind him another creature approaches the scene, it’s physical characteristics similar to the first one to come out. They both make eye contact with me, there red bulging eyes making my very being shrink. They both grab for an item in their purple flowing capes. Out comes a knife like object. They jump on me, causing me to fall on my rear. The chihuahua creatures let out low growls and raise their knives simultaneously. I close my eyes in fear of what is to come next. They bring out a paper and place it on my chest. Little did I know that the knives weren’t knives but pens with a weird design. They write on the paper and bring it up to my face. ‘Where is the nearest Popeyes?’ An unbelievable expression makes its way to my face as I let out small laughter to hide my fear. I get up slowly, the creature eyeing my every move. I turn around on my heel and dash back to my friend’s home.

Which statement accurately compares the diction in andrew jackson "on indian removal" to that in micheal rutledges "samuel's mem
marta [7]

Answer:

A. Jackson relies on long, flowing sentences, whereas Rutledge relies on short, direct sentences.

Explanation:

Writing techniques and the use of language are the difference between Andrew Jackson’s address to the Congress and Michael Rutledge’s “Samuel’s Memory”. Jackson’s sentences are long and very often not really to the point, which makes him very intelligent, while on the other hand, Rutledge uses short and simple sentences that are to the point and not go around and around.

8_murik_8 [283]

Answer:

B.

Explanation:

It is a fact that Johnny is at the risk of failing all his exams.

A fact is a statement that happens to be true and is proven to be correct. For example, The earth revolves around the sun is proven to be correct and happens to be true.

In the given scenario, it is fact that Johnny is likely to fail all of his courses because of his schedule that is stated. Johnny works 20 hrs per week besides helping her mother nurse his two siblings, and he has taken three courses to study. Since these courses require time to study which Johnny lacks, so it is proven that he will fail in all his courses.

So, the correct answer is option B.
