Explanation:

The Golden rule is the principle of treating others as you want to be treated. Wish to others as you wish yourself and do not treat others in a way that you don't want to to be treated.

For the pioneers traveling West, the Golden rule was achieve when the father of Willie Keil, who was the leader of a religious sect known as the Bethelites, Dr William Keil who kept his promise to his son despite the fact that his son Willie was already Dead. Before his death, he learned to drive a three-ox team and became so good at it that he was given the honor of driving the number one wagon. Sadly some days that they were to start there journey, Willie died after falling sick to malaria.

Despite Willie's death, his father was determined to keep his promise to his son, so he and the elders of the sect built a sturdy, wooden coffin and lined it with lead. Then, Dr. Keil ordered a load of 100 proof Golden Rule whiskey, poured it into the coffin around Willie, and nailed down the lid. It was carefully placed in the number one wagon, which Willie had hoped to drive.
