Example(please use your own words.) :

My favorite food is pizza(< topic sentence) because it's cheesy, and I love how the cheese tastes with the sauce.  My family also likes this food, We eat it together for dinner almost every night. I don't eat it everyday since it's not "healthy", but sometimes me and my older sister order some pizza secretly and eat it in the park in back of my house. If you can't tell, I'm obsessed with this food. If I ruled over the world, I would make my country out of pizza.

Answer:

I cannot concentrate when...

Explanation:

I cannot concentrate when there's too much noise around. I don't exactly know why but it just blurs my head and it's impossible to do anything, anyways, I've tried to work this issue because i'm totally aware that sometimes it's impossible to isolate from the world or find a place completely in silence, so, even though i like libraries a lot, i think i should start to read or study in some noisy places, that way i could start to get used to the fact that i should be able to concentrate anywhere. But, actually, if i could, i would totally create a secret place where a could go and just do what i needed, and then came back to reality, and where no sound could be heard.

Write a paragraph about the role that nature played in the early American settlements and how this influenced literary themes.
marta [7]
As the early explorers began leaving Europe and discovering new lands they were filled with awe and excitement. These explorers had never seen such pristine landscapes, which appeared to be untouched. Nature had an important role in what was to become known as ‘The New World.’ The early explorers and settlers were greatly affected by nature both in positive and negative ways.Often as people traveled across ocean they fell ill from disease and famine, for the voyages were long and difficult. Many lost their lives as a result of the lack of food, fresh water and exposure, either during the voyage or soon after.

Read the excerpt from We Shall Not Be Moved.
Alona [7]

Answer:

Female factory workers had to work long hours, sometimes up to eighty hours a week.

Explanation:

Joan Dash provided a poignant and eye-opening historical account of the women's factory strike of 1909 in "We Shall Not Be Moved." This provides an insight into what the condition was like for women and also how the Women's Trade Union League came to be.

In the given passage from the text, the narrator reveals how the women's demand was simple: <em>"a fifty-two-hour week with extra pay for overtime, an end to the fines and petty tyrannies, and a living wage." </em>And in order to understand what the basis of the demands were, we have to know the situation of workers, especially female workers during the early 1990s. And the fact that <u>women workers were expected to work for long hours, at times even up to eighty hours a week</u> was too much for any living being to endure.

Thus, the correct answer is the first option.
