Answer:

Nancy's lapse in memory is due to substance abuse

Explanation:

While Amnesia will result from damage to a brain structure in the limbic system, responsible for emotions and memories, often known as neurological amnesia.

Nancy has rather a self-caused forgetting which is enabled by

use of drugs like benzodiazepines or sedatives, alcohol, marijuana often causes forgetting effects yet amnesia is a disorder that generally speaking arises as a result of a brain injury or a severe mental health conditions

Today we know that certain substance called beta-blockers help destabilize painful or fearful memories that ofter are hard to forget.

Persons that are suffering in a relationship can have certain periods where they solve substance abuse and taking alcohol with drugs often leads to a substance called metyrapone that blocks the synthesis of the cortisol.

The stress hormone cortisol is suppressed allowing the person to "forget those painful moments".

Since many people solve to drugs and their negative effects are severe, by no means, this will be a solution.

It would be always advised to seek help and gain better insight to deal with circumstances cleverly.

ExtremeBDS [4]

Answer:

It is here where the king makes a connection between the size of Gulliver and other humans and their moral weakness. He Is obviously disgusted at the human thirst for power and at what lengths are we willing to take it:

"The king was struck by horror by the description I had given of those terrible engines, at the proposal I had made. He was amazed how so impotent and groveling an insect as I could entertain such inhuman ideas, and in so familiar a manner as to appear wholly unmoved at all the scenes of blood and desolation, which I had painted as the common effects of those destructive machines."

Explanation:

"Gulliver's Travels", a novel from 1726, is divided in four parts: by Lemuel Gulliver, first a surgeon, and then a captain of several ships by the Irish writer and clergyman Jonathan Swift, a full-length prose satire on both human nature and the "travellers' tales". In this novel the theme is moral correctness vs mental or physical strength, and it as a classic of English literature "to vex the world rather than divert it" turning to an immediate universally read success masterpiece.

Inessa [10]
Experiences with the British monarchy made them worry that the government would have too much power but they created a weak government under the Articles of Confederation.
The experiences with the British showed us how a government would be transformed into a tyranny if it left unchecked/unregulated.
But since at that time we're too paranoid about this, we instead create a government that basically couldn't operate since ther are too much limitation the congress.
