This is because they are biased towards one opinion/side, which can often misinform the reader, making the reader also biased towards one side. It is not an example of vested interest, stereotype or manipulation of information because the action of taking one side is:
- not a personal reason for their situation
- not a set idea that people have
- and is also not giving wrong or twisted information.
It will be talking about one person's viewpoint, not considering another person's (often opposite) point of view.

(Bias means opinionated. When she said that she liked the teacher, it is showing her opinion on the matter.) 

<span>Manipulation of information (if it only shows one side of the story, it is only giving half the information, meaning the half they want you to hear. They are manipulating it to make it seem like that is the final story.)</span>
