Date: _________________ ( Date of which letter is written)

To,

_____________

_____________

_____________ ( address of the person the letter is addressed to)

Subject: Apology

Dear _____________(name of the rcecipient),

I am writing this letter to accept my rude behavior with you yesterday. I know that I have hurt your feelings and caused stressful moments. I thought that writing to you will relieve my guilt and it is the best way to seek forgiveness from you.

You were explaining the importance of discipline when I lost my temper and shouted at you, saying that I know what to do. You were offended and left my room in despair. I immediately realised my mistake but did not have the courage to come and face you. In this letter, I request you to excuse me and give me a chance to improve my behaviour. I promise that I shall not repeat this incident.

Hoping to hear from you,

Yours lovingly,

__________

Hamlet Act IV help!
Harrizon [31]
Claudius gives Laertes two reasons why he didn't punish Hamlet yet - he says he loves his mother and that the public loves him. So I guess your answers would be Gertrude loves Hamlet and the King does not want to hurt her and the Danes like Hamlet.
These two options are definitely correct, but if you need another one, then maybe also choose The Danes may not believe Claudius too (however, I am unsure about this one because in the text he only states two reasons).

Fernando evaluated the expression below. StartFraction 5 (9 minus 5) over 2 EndFraction + (negative 2) (negative 5) + (negative
Juli2301 [7.4K]

Question:

Fernando evaluated the expression below.

\frac{5(9-5)}{2} + (-2)(-5) + (-3)^2 = \frac{5(4)}{2} -10 + 9 = \frac{20}{2} - 10 + 9 = 10 - 10 + 9 = 9

What was Fernando's error?

- Fernando evaluated the numerator of the fraction incorrectly.

- Fernando simplified 20/2 incorrectly.

- Fernando incorrectly found the product of –2 and –5.

- Fernando evaluated (-3)² incorrectly.

Answer:

- Fernando incorrectly found the product of –2 and –5.

Explanation:

Given

\frac{5(9-5)}{2} + (-2)(-5) + (-3)^2 = \frac{5(4)}{2} -10 + 9 = \frac{20}{2} - 10 + 9 = 10 - 10 + 9 = 9

Required

Spot the error

The error in this evaluation is the product of -2 and -5 at step 2

When a negative number (-2) is multiplied by a negative number (-5), the outcome of the multiplication is always a positive number (10).

So, the result of -2 * -5 is 10 but Fernando incorrectly calculated it as -10.

Solving the expression, correctly

\frac{5(9-5)}{2} + (-2)(-5) + (-3)^2 = \frac{5(4)}{2} + 10 + 9

\frac{5(9-5)}{2} + (-2)(-5) + (-3)^2 = \frac{20}{2} + 10 + 9

\frac{5(9-5)}{2} + (-2)(-5) + (-3)^2 = 10 + 10 + 9

\frac{5(9-5)}{2} + (-2)(-5) + (-3)^2 = 29

Hence, the actual result of the expression is 29 (not 9 as calculated by Fernando).
