Which sentence uses capitalization correctly?
Scorpion4ik [409]

Answer:

The detective said, “If you see or hear anything, please don’t hesitate to call me.”

Fourth choice

Explanations for each sentence:

<u>I think my Aunt should consider calling ahead to see if we can get a reservation. </u>

"Aunt" doesn't need to be capitalized because it's not a proper noun. For example, "aunt" needs capitalization if you said: <em>I think Aunt Lisa.......</em> because "Aunt Lisa" is a proper noun.

<u>My High School has been taking a field trip to a farm outside of Iowa City for years. </u>

"High School" doesn't need to be capitalized because it doesn't have the specific name of a high school.

<u>I asked my neighbor if She would pick up my mail while I am out of town. </u>

"She" doesn't need to be capitalized. Pronouns (which replace a noun) don't need to be capitalized unless the pronoun is "I".

<u>The detective said, “If you see or hear anything, please don’t hesitate to call me."</u>

The correct capitalization is used here. The tricky words might be "detective", which is lowercase because there is no specific detective name. The word "If" is capitalized because it's the first word in the quotation.

Why is learning about other countries important?
andriy [413]
Learning about other parts of the world is important due to the fact that it can greatly increase your knowledge of other cultures, customs and traditions, and plenty more common grounds in particular countries.  Imagine not knowing a single thing about other countries, and only your'e own- How boring would that be?  For example, imagine not knowing about different types of food, as in the abundance of tasty foods from all over the world.  We learn about other places because we can't be selfish and only know about our lives.  We must enlighten ourselves about poverty-stricken areas that need help or wonderful parts of the world that have amazing scenery and all.  If we didn't learn and teach one another about certain places, we would never uncover our roots.  We all once defended from Africa as our genus Homo and now live all throughout the world- along the way depending on your race/ethnicity, your ancestors could be part everything!  We shall learn about other countries because our DNA makeup could be made up of many different parts of the entire Earth.  Engage in new topics of other countries to becomes an all-around educated person on the discussion of world affairs and issues.

xeze [42]

The correct answer is it draws a parallel between common swindlers and the townspeople they attempt to cheat.

Indeed, the author is using these characters to convey the message that Southern Society was extremely hypocritical since they pretended to be pious Christians and democratic Americans and yet defended fiercely the pecualiar institution of slavery. Furthermore, to the black slaves, they were akin to some kind of racial royalty and enjoyed a very monarchic supremacy over their slaves.

The Duke and the King are preying on such ethos in order to profit from it.
