What component of gps includes the series of ground stations that help maintain gps?
mina [271]

The GPS control segment consists of a global network of ground facilities that track the GPS satellites, monitor their transmissions, perform analyses, and send commands and data to the constellation.

Most GPS receivers consist of three basic components: (1) An antenna that receives signals and, in some cases, has an anti-jamming function. (2) A receiver processor unit that converts wireless signals into usable navigation solutions. (3) Control/display unit that displays location information.

The third signal is also sent from the satellite to the receiver. This signal contains data about the state and position of the satellite. The second part of the GPS system is a ground station that consists of a receiver, an antenna, and communication tools for sending data to the data center.

16. In what ways does the physical location of Washington contribute to its economy?
Masja [62]

The state of Washington has a very good location which benefits its economy and development a lot. The state is located in the northwestern part of the United States. It comes out on the Pacific Ocean, and it has nice coastline which is suitable for ports. Also, it is bordering Canada, and is in very close proximity to the biggest Canadian ports on the Pacific Ocean.

This results in lot of trade going through this state, be it between USA and Canada, or between USA and Asia. Also, it is a state that not only has ports, but has one of the most important ports, through which one of the largest amounts of products and goods go through. They are then distributed throughout the country, or vice versa, they are brought from all over the country.
