Answer:

A). Most of the colonists took sides in the American Revolution; however, some remained neutral.

Explanation:

The best way to merge/combine these two sentences is displayed through option A as it correctly links the two contrasting ideas with the use of subordinating conjunction 'however'. The use of 'however' prior to the dependent clause 'some remained neutral' indicates the disagreement or another side of the previous claim mentioned in the independent clause 'Most of the colonists took sides in the American Revolution'. Therefore, option A best reflects the most appropriate way to link the two sentences and offer an accomplished thought.

For example: you can look at the fossils of dinosaurs and learn how they lived, their size, what era they were from, etc. If you are looking at live animals, you can determine how they live with the environment around them.

God cursing Ham is an allusion to a biblical story in Genesis 9 where Noah cursed his son Ham to forever be a servant to his brothers, making every person descended from Ham be scripturally

enslaved. Frederick Douglass uses this allusion to explain how since slaveholders justify slavery with this bible story, very soon this will not work because many slaves are being born to white fathers.
