The Office of War Information (OWI) was established on June 13, 1942. The purpose was to centralize many government information services to create a propaganda machine that controls information related to war, served to the  public. Through radio shows, newspapers, posters, photographs, films, even through advertising on matches, there was a connection between warfare and civilian communities. Also, a number of overseas affiliates were established, which spread propaganda abroad.
