Answer:

Mean = 60

Standard Deviation = 6

Step-by-step explanation:

Number of bags = 25

Mean = x`= 30

Mean= Total number of sweets/ Total number of bags

30 = Total number of sweets/ 25

Total number of sweets= 30*25= 750

When the sweets are doubled then the number of sweets is 750 *2= 1500

Mean= Total number of sweets/ Total number of bags

Mean = 1500/ 25

Mean = 60 (twice the mean of 750 sweets = 30)

As x`= ∑x/n

But the new mean is calculated as

2x`= ∑( x.2)/n= 2. (30)= 60

The co efficient of Standard deviation is calculated as

Co efficient of SD = Standard Deviation/ Mean

= 3/30 = 0.1

Multiplying with the new mean would give

Co efficient of SD * Mean= Standard Deviation

60 *0.1 = 6

It is the property of the variance that when each observation is multiplied by the square of a constant ² the variance also increase by a² and so does the standard deviation.

Simplify the expression -3(4x +5) - 2(-5x +8)
STALIN [3.7K]

Answer:

x=-31/2

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's equate the equation to zero

-3(4x+5)-2(-5x+8)=0

-12x-15+10x-16=0

Collect like terms

-12x+10x-15-16=0

-2x-31=0

Add 31 to both sides

-2x=31

Divide both sides by-2

x=-31/2

40 pts!! please help T^T
viva [34]

Answer:

30%

Step-by-step explanation:

If a football quarterback enjoys practicing his long passes over 40 yards and misses the first pass 40% of the time, but when he misses on the first pass, he misses the second pass 20% of the time. The probability of missing two passes in a row is 30%.

First pass: 40%

Second pass: 20%

40% and 20% combined/average is 30%.

Therefore, the probability of missing two passes in a row is 30%.
