   Your anser would be A) function, an input has one output. Let me explain it now.

  Functions are relations that derive one output for each input, or that is the technical definition for it, or one Y value for any X value inserted into the equation.  A function is made by a set of ordered pairs. examples of ordered pairs are (4,7) as 4 is the X value and Y is the Y value.

  Its quite simple to see if a function is or is not a function. Here is an example

     [(4,7),(6,9),(4,1),(9,0)] is not a function because when you look at all the x values which are 4,6,4, and 9, you see that the #4 is repeated signalling that It it not a function.

     [(2,3),(9,3),(1,6),(8,2)] is a function, lets check it. All the x values are 2,9,1, and 8, and as you can tell, none of them are the same.

1. A right triangle LMN is given where: side MN = 8 side NL (the hypotenuse) =
inessss [21]

Step-by-step explanation:

\underline{ \underline{ \text{Given}}} :

  • Length of MN ( Base ) = 8
  • Length of NL ( Hypotenuse ) = 10

\underline{ \underline{ \text{To \: find}}} :

  • Length of LM ( Perpendicular )

\underline{ \underline{ \text{Using \: pythagoras \: theorem}}} :

\boxed{ \sf{ {Hypotenuse}^{2}  =  {Perpendicular}^{2}  +  {Base}^{2} }}

⤑ \sf{  Perpendicular =  \sqrt{ {(Hypotenuse)}^{2}  -   {(Base)}^{2}  } }

⤑ \sf{ \sqrt{ {(10)}^{2}  -   {(8)}^{2}  } }

⤑ \sf{ \sqrt{100  -  64}}

⤑ \sf{ \sqrt{36}}

⤑ \boxed{ \sf{6\: units}}

\pink{ \boxed{ \boxed{ \tt{Our \: final \: answer :  \boxed{ \underline { \tt{6 \: units}}}}}}}

Hope I helped ! ツ

PLZZZZZ HELP MEH ILLLL MARK AND 100 points
Nataliya [291]

Answer:

Volume of original toolbox = 180 in³

Yes, doubling one dimension only would double the volume of the toolbox.

Step-by-step explanation:

Volume = L x W x H

10 x 6 x 3 = 180 in³

proof:

double length = 20 x 6 x 3 = 360 in³, which is double the original

double width = 10 x 12 x 3 = 360 in³, which is double the original

double height = 10 x 6 x 6 = 360 in³, which is double the original

Find an equation of variation in which y varies directly as x and y=1 when x=0.5. Then find the value of y when x = 14.
FromTheMoon [43]

<u>Part 1</u>

The value of y is twice that of x, so the equation is y = 2x.

<u>Part 2</u>

Substituting in x = 14, we get y = 2(14) = 28.
