Identify the type of irony in the following scenario: Jennifer is asked to give a speech promoting the math club to some new stu

dents, even though she has said that she does not think the math club devotes enough time to math-related activities and is more of a social club. Jennifer speaks to the group of new students, saying, "If you aren't really interested in school and wish you had something to do other than your math homework, you should join the math club! It's a great way to hang out and chat and eat snacks without having to stress out or expand your brain. It's really relaxing and doesn't require you to do anything or put in any effort!"

Most likely, Verbal Irony.
-Although is could be well to be Dramatic Irony (as the audience knows Jennifer does not think the math club devotes enough time), Jennifer goes all savage mode and calls them out, what a G...

She was asked to promote the club, not list them as a club that "doesn't require you to do anything or put in any effort !"

This contains more of Verbal Irony

Hope this helps!

The irony is that although Jennifer doesn't think that the school devotes enough time to the Math club she is still promoting it. this is situational irony.
