The tadpole contains gills but doesn't have legs nor lungs.
however the adult frog contains the opposite. It has both lungs and legs but doesn't have gills. This is due to tadpole leaves in the water and the frog leaves on both land and sometimes in the water.

If multiple lesions are treated, you would report the most complex lesion procedure first and the others using modifier:
Aloiza [94]
Modifier -51 is used to identify multiple lesion treatment. Modifier 51 multiple procedure indicates that several procedures were performed by the same health provider at the same session. The most expensive procedure should be listed first without the modifier. The subsequent ones should then be listed with the modifier attached.

QUESTION 50
Cohesion, surface tension, and adhesion are the properties of water molecules that
snow_lady [41]

Answer:

enable capillarity

Explanation:

It is well known that water tends to adhere to the walls of the vessel in which it is contained. This is due to the force of adhesion which is defined as the force of attraction between unlike molecules. Cohesion is defined as the force of attraction between like molecules. In the case of a plant, cohesion of water molecules in the xylem vessels prevents the water column from breaking. The forces of adhesion, surface tension and cohesion are the basis of capillarity, that is, the rise of liquids in capillary tubes.

What determines whether a person is male or female?
iVinArrow [24]
There are 23 pairs of chromosomes in each human cell and the autosomes (chromosome pairs 1-22) determine certain characteristics. However, there is still one more pair of chromosomes and these are called the sex chromosomes and they can either be shaped as XX or XY. The father's chromosome is the chromosome that determines whether it is a boy or girl, and there is an exact 50/50 chance of it being male or female you just need to draw a punnet square.

Hope this helps :)

What is the primary purpose of each (A) membrane channels (b) membrane pumps?
crimeas [40]

According to the research, the primary purpose of membrane channels is to circulate ions, and of membrane pumps is to maintain differences in ionic concentration.

What are membrane channels and pumps?

They are pores in the cell membrane through which ions circulate for muscle contraction or membrane potential changes that may depend on a ligand or voltage, depending on whether their opening is determined by the binding of a ligand or by changes of voltage.

In this sense, membrane pumps is the mechanism of active ion transport, consuming energy across a membrane against an electromechanical gradient to maintain differences in ion concentration between the intracellular and extracellular space.

Therefore, we can conclude that according to the research, the primary purpose of membrane channels is to circulate ions, and of membrane pumps is to maintain differences in ionic concentration.
