Answer:

May be egg shaped

Has no new stars being formed.

Has almost no gas or dust between stars.

Explanation:

Elliptical galaxy is the collection of many stars which are bounded together gravitationally, which is smooth and ellipsoidal and shape and the appearance is featureless.

Elliptical galaxy is ovoid or spherical masses of stars.

It is found in galaxy clusters and compact galaxies.

It has no gas or dust between stars which result in low rates of star formation.

It is formed When two spirals collide, they lose their familiar shape, morphing into the less-structured elliptical galaxies.

Elliptical galaxy is made of old stars and have no gas and dust.

An example is elliptical galaxy m60 which shines brightly and is egg shaped.

A single-story retail store wishes to supply all its lighting requirement with batteries charged by photovoltaic cells. The PV c
Umnica [9.8K]

Answer:

83.33% of the roof area will be occupied by the PV cells

Explanation:

Given the data in the question;

time-averaged lighting requirement P_{lighting = 10 W/m²

the annual average solar irradiance q_{solar = 150 W/m²

the PV efficiency η_{pv = 10% = 0.1

battery charging/discharging efficiency η_{battery = 80% = 0.8

we know that; Annual average power to the light = P_{lighting × A_{roof

Now, the electrical power delivered by the solar cell battery system will be;

⇒  q_{solar × A_{pv × η_{pv × η_{battery

P_{lightingA_{roof = q_{solar × A_{pv × η_{pv × η_{battery

Such that;

A_{pv = P_{lightingA_{roof / q_{solar × A_{pv × η_{pv × η_{battery

A_{pv / A_{roof = P_{lighting /  q_{solar × η_{pv × η_{battery

so we substitute

A_{pv / A_{roof = 10 W/m² / [ 150 W/m² × 0.1 × 0.8 ]

A_{pv / A_{roof = 10 W/m² / 12 W/m²

A_{pv / A_{roof = 0.8333

A_{pv / A_{roof = (0.8333 × 100)%

A_{pv / A_{roof = 83.33%

Therefore, 83.33% of the roof area will be occupied by the PV cells.

a constant current of 3 a for 4 hours is required to charge an automotive battery.if the terminal voltage is 10 t/2 v, where t i
Korvikt [17]

The charge transported as a result of charging is 43200C .

we can note the following data from the statement :

Current (i) = 3A

Time interval (t) = 4 hrs = 14400secs

As we know ,

Current is defined as the rate of flow of the charges between two points when a potential difference is applied between them.

Mathematically , it can be written as

Current(i) = charge (q)/ time(t)

Q = i × t

   = 3 × 14400

   = 43200 C

By dividing the value of the current passed through the circuit by the time for which the charge is passed gives out the value of the charge passed .

a model rocket climbs 200 m in 4 seconds. if was moving 10 m/s to begin with, what is it’s final velocity?
artcher [175]
So first Identify all the given Varibales so u can choose which Eqauton to use

D=200m
T=4s
Vi=10m/s
Vf=?

You should this equation

D= 0.50(Vf+Vi)T

Plug in the values

200= 0.50 (Vf+10) 4

Divide the 4 out of the right side and if you do sumthing to one side you gotta do it to the other

200 divided by 4= 0.50(Vf+10)
50= 0.50(Vf+10)

Now expand the 0.50

So 50= 0.5Vf + 5 (because 0.5 times 10 is 5)

Now get rid of the 5

50-5= 0.5Vf

45 =0.5Vf now Divide the 0.5 out

45 divided by 0.5 = Vf

And 45/0.5 is 90

So 90=Vf

Therefore the final Velocity is 90m/s
