The boldface term that correctly indicates a gerund is B) VACATIONING is an important thing to do with your family.

The gerunds is a part of speech. Gerunds are words that are formed by a verb followed by ing, like the present participle. The important thing to remember is that gerunds are formed by verbs but they act as nouns. When you see an ing-form it can be a verb, the present participle complete form, it can also be a modifier or a gerund that is a verb used as a noun.

I think it would be vacationing, because it is the subject of the sentence. The only other option would be sewing but since that looks more like an adjective I think vacationing would be the right answer.

statuscvo [17]

Answer: a. He is distraught and unsure.

In this excerpt, Hamlet is distraught and feels desperate. He begins to wonder whether it would be better to die, as dying is only to sleep forever. He thinks this would end his heartache, and all the pain he is subject to. However, as he continues talking, he wonders if maybe the sleep of death comes with dreams, and whether those dreams might be nightmares. This worries him, and makes him more unsure as to what choice to make.
