Ancient greek and roman arts were very impactful during the early renaissance. The ancient romans had made murals of broken glass and they called them Mosaics, they also had ivory works, metal workings ( jewelry,swords,etc.). Greeks were famous for textiles and their paintings.

Another way would be to create an artwork that can touch many different people emotionally. Overall art can be many different things to many different people.
