Answer:

To write about the importance of trying

Explanation:

If you don't try, you are also missing,

If you don't ever try, you will always miss.

Always means Every shot so every miss,

that is 100% of the shots means 100% intents

and Intent is try, so- no try -no shot. then NO GOAL.

D.

This is so because it says that you miss 100% of shots, this cancels out B and C. So now A and D, in the very last sentence it says, "...attempt to reach that goal..." attempting means trying so D would be your answer.

Hope this helps. :)

Read this excerpt from the text look homeward angel which best describes the authors use of style in this excerpt
stepladder [879]

Answer:

The author uses words such as foundations and trowellings to suggest Oliver's expertise.

Explanation:

The excerpt shows that Oliver had little money but had fantasies which he craved to satisfy. One of his fantasies was his desire to own a house. He was skilled in the art of building and this is reflected in how he used his great hands to lay the foundations.

Trowels are small flat metal blades with short handles used in scooping mixtures while painting. Oliver made smooth trowellings while building, an indication that he was also a skilled worker. The result of his expertise can be seen in the outcome of the building which was quite good.
