What arguments did the petitioners use to frame their argument for independence, and in what ways did this petition mirror the r
Mrrafil [7]

Equality and human rights at home

Explanation:

The enslaved African Americans drafted many petitions to fight for their rights. They demanded equality and human rights to be given in their own home land. They used their petitions to beg for mercy and liberation.

The founding fathers were a committee of five who drafted the Declaration of Independence. The Whites always wanted the African Americans to be separated from their community. Petitioning for freedom continuously caused a stir so that their plea for freedom was finally heard.

Explain why the throckmorton plot was a threat to Queen Elizabeth
tatiyna

Answer:

The Throckmorton plot was a threat to Queen Elizabeth because it conspired to overthrow Queen Elizabeth I and bring Queen Mary of Scots to the throne.

Explanation:

 • For the fulfillment of the intention of re-establishing Roman Catholicism, it was necessary for the radical English Roman Catholics to take down Queen Elizabeth I and crown Queen Mary of Scots as the queen of England.
 • This conspiracy was revealed after a few suspicious attempts made for the said cause and the main conspirator, Francis Throckmorton was punished for it.

If you were an American worker in the 1800s, what would you do to improve your situation? Check any boxes that you agree with.
Nimfa-mama [501]

All of the above are correct. I'll explain:

Work became more dangerous in the 1800's. This was a result of the increase in industrialization, it caused machines to be more powerful, and easier to cause harm. Also, workers in the late 1800´s had a very low standard of living, consequence of their low wages. So this caused 4 things:

 • Low skilled jobs often didn't result in better wages or better and safer working conditions, so they attempted to try to get into a skilled trade.
 • They often demanded higher wages because jobs often came with very low wages for workers.
 • Workers began to join forces to gain enough power to impose better wages and working conditions. They joined forces with other employees creating 'working unions'.
 • Sometimes they just tried to find a better job when none of the other options were available, or didn't work at all.

I hope this helps understand why all of the options are correct. Working in the 1800's was a risky business!

Have a great week!

How did the second world war alter the position of the united states among nations of the world?
Romashka-Z-Leto [24]

The Second World War earned the United States a place at the grown ups table because they showed the rest of the world they were not to be trifled with. Both with their troops fighting and the fact that they were able to finish making the atomic bomb before an old, well established country like Russia.
