Prob of selected students times prob of selecting boys times prob of selecting 3 boys
total students = 15b + 30g = 45 students

1. 10s/45t = 0.22
2. 15b/45t = 0.33
3. 3b/15b = 0.2

0.22×0.33×0.2=0.0148

1.48%

I'm not sure 100%... double check answer please

Which equation is a point slope form equation for line ab?
lara [203]

we have point (1,-1)

and point  (-3,5)

 slope =(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

   m = (5-(-1))/(-3-(1))

  m = 6/(-3-1)

   m = 6/-4

   m = -3/2

point slope form

y-y1 = m(x-x1)

y-(-1) =-3/2(x-(1))

y+1=-3/2(x-1)

Choice B

Need help with this please!!!
BARSIC [14]
I don't like dividing polynomials so I'm going to set x=1 and try them out.

(1-2-14+3)/4 = -3

Of the choices, only D gives -3 when x=1

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That's as much test-taking as math.  If we were to divide
             x^2 - 5x + 1
          -------------------------------
x + 3 |   x^3 - 2x^2 - 14x + 3
             x^3 + 3x^2
                      -5x^2 - 14x
                       5x^2 + 15x
                                      x + 3
                                      x + 3
More work, still choice D
ANEK [815]
So for a mother ages 28 , there is a chance of 1 in 1000 , but at the age of 38 there is a chance of 1 in 200 . to work out how many times more likely it is for the 38 year old to give birth to a child with down syndrome is to divide 1000 by 200 and this gives us 5 . so the 38 year old is 5 times more likely to give birth to a child with down syndrome than a 28 year old :)
Jake is comparing the prices of two mattress cleaning companies. Company A charges $30 per mattress and an additional $13 as ser
Musya8 [376]
I think it's :
Part A ; $30 * (x) + $13
$28 * (x) + $15
Part B ; so $30 * 4 + $13 = $133 vs.
$28 * 4 + $15 = $111 so that would mean company B Would charge the least amount.
Part C ; the difference between company a and company B prices is $22.
