Volume doesn't matter in this equation, as air will almost always float on water no matter the volume. So A and C are incorrect. The the object is more dense than water, it will sink because it has enough density to push through the water. But if it is less dense, then the water has enough force to hold it in place because the downward force of the object is less than the force of the water. The correct answer is D.

GaryK [48]

Answer: C) Calculations are often unnecessary because we can usually rely on common wisdom.

Explanation: According to the ethical theory of John Stuart Mill about utilitarianism is that morality of actions are used for defining the result or outcome about the happiness . Calculations are thus not a requirement for the utilitarianism.

Other options are incorrect because training is not required for simplification of calculation.  It is not an issue for every theory and neither is the reason for low knowledge about morals. Thus, the correct option is option(C)

What change occurred during the Renaissance?
Anestetic [448]
Before the Renaissance, during the Middle Ages, people relied solely on the Catholic church for their information about the world. They based their facts on the Bible and what religious figures told them. During the Renaissance, a more secular way of thinking developed. As the printing press grew, more people became literate and were able to interpret the Bible for themselves. This led to the creation of new religions and theories about science. People began to challenge the old social order and authorities and began to question the morals and motives of the seemingly corrupt Catholic church.
