Hey mate!
You stuck?

Xian and Kai would both need to receive stamps for 6 months to eventually have the same amount of stamps.

Xian: 12 stamps from club x 6 months + 56 stamps = 128
Kai: 8 stamps from club x 6 months + 80 stamps = 128

Hope this helps! :)

If you roll a fair six-sided die and a fair four-sided die, what is the probability that neither die shows a 1?
Masja [62]
For the first die, 5 out of 6 are not 1.
That is 5/6.
For the second die, 3 out of 4 are not 1.
That is 3/4.
Multiply 5/6 by 3/4 to get the probability.
5/6 x 3/4 = 20/72
Simplify once to get 10/36.
Do it again to get 5/18.
In decimal form it is 0.2777 and in percent form it is 27.77%.
Hope this helps!

If (5, 4) and (7,2) are the endpoints of a diameter of a circle, what is the equation of the circle?
STatiana [176]

Answer:

  (x -6)^2 +(y -3)^2 = 2

Step-by-step explanation:

The midpoint (C) is the center of the circle:

  C = ((5, 4) +(7, 2))/2 = ((5+7)/2, (4+2)/2) = (6, 3)

A circle with center (h, k) that goes through point (a, b) can be written as ...

  (x -h)^2 +(y -k) ^2 = (a -h)^2 +(b -k)^2

Using the values for this problem, we get ...

  (x -6)^2 +(y -3)^2 = (5 -6)^2 +(4 -3)^2

  (x -6)^2 +(y -3)^2 = 2

you make two cylinders using 8.5-by-11-inch pieces of paper. One has a height of 8.5 inches, and the other has a height of 11 in
Elan Coil [88]
The second cylinder is taller correct?
8 in < 11 in

If the height is also larger, the base is most likely larger too.

Wouldn't the largest cylinder have a Larger surface area?
