Explanation:

In this short into it is explained that there is another story in the introductory story. The first story is Dweck who is opening and reading her article. The second is a story about Jonathan, who is a student with difficulties in school.

This intro is effective because if foreshadows in which direction will story go. This kind of intro is effective and can make the readers more interested at first glance.

This kind of intro is effective and can make the readers more interested at first glance. These two connected stories can be interesting for the readers to think about what will be the idea, theme and narrative in the story.

It is expository and gives the readers the background of the story. It is also foreboding because it gives the readers the basis to make an assumption and predict the possible actions or events in the story.

Answer:

Explanation:

The opening of the article was short and brief. The introduction explains the story about Jonathan who experiences difficulties in school. Dweck uses a simple language in her writing for easy comprehension.

This introduction is effective because it gives direction at which the story goes, thereby making the reader focused on the story line.

The kind of introduction adopted has the ability to create interesting images in the mind of the reader. This interest makes the reader to ponder on the idea, theme and outcome in the story. It draws the attention of the reader to remain glued to the story.

Also, it exposes the background of the story. The reader may also try to predict the possible events in the story.

40 POINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Answer:

a. the wish that he will meet God when he dies (it is, indeed, the correct choice)

Explanation:

A bourne is a literary word for a limit or boundary.

A pilot is an archaic word for a guide or a leader. The first letter is capitalized, which means it is not an ordinary guide or leader, but the Guide or the Leader. It is a pretty obvious reference to God, who, as Christians believe, guides us all.

Basically, what he says in these final lines is "although he may be carried beyond the limits of time and space as we know them, he retains the hope that he will look upon the face of his “Pilot”(i.e. God) when he has crossed the sand bar."

If you reread the entire poem, you will see that it is about Lord Tennyson's accepting death as an inevitable and natural part of life. He asks his family not to grieve over him when he dies. Nothing is said about love in the poem.

Which is the most important reference source when writing a novel set in the early twentieth century?
nataly862011 [7]
I want to say either diaries or fashion magazines. Diaries are much more story like and could be a little lathered up for lack of a better word. However I would go with fashion magazines, which talk about whatever's popular at the time, giving you a quick general outlook on the time period.
