The Ku Klux Klan also known as the KKK was a white supremacist group of people claiming to be the ghosts of soldiers, they committed murders and used multiple forms of violence to prevent blacks from participating in politics (not allowing them to vote was the main one). The Ku Klux Klan also wanted to keep blacks from achieving economic independence.
