I'm not familiar with the cajun carnaval, but I do know stuff about the winter carnaval here in Quebec.
To start, there is a character which represents the carnaval, Bonhomme Carnaval. He's a snowman wearing a sash (traditional element worn by francophone settlers). Oh, and he also has a red bonnet (also worn by the francophone settlers).
A lot of winter sports and competitions happen during the carnaval (you can say that it's cultural since the territory gets snow). E.g. canoe racing, ballon-balais, hockey (of course!), ski, etc...
Ice sculptures are also made (a few years ago they even made an ice hotel). *There is also an ice palace [for the Carnaval snowman].
Although maple syrup is harvested in spring, some people buy it in cans and do some mapple taffy on snow.
*Not to forget that there is a parade (it's a carnaval) and that [due to the presence of the catholic religion in Quebec] the carnaval is linked to Mardi Gras.

J'ai regardé autour de moi pour voir une patinoire, j'étais tellement excitée! J'ai immédiatement fait la queue et j'ai mis des patins à glace. En tant que débutant, je me suis accroché aux côtés le plus longtemps. Mon manteau bleu, mon chapeau blanc et mes bottes rouges étaient très visibles parmi les autres personnes. L'esprit de Noël est toujours élevé en hiver, surtout le 24 décembre. Après avoir fini le patinage sur glace, j'ai décidé de jeter un œil dans cette boutique de Noël, il y avait un énorme arbre de Noël, des décorations et des livres de recettes de Noël. C'était assez ennuyeux cependant. Quand j'ai quitté le magasin, il a commencé à neiger abondamment, c'était magnifique. La neige a fondu quand elle a touché le sol malheureusement, la vue sur la tour eiffel givrée était incroyable. J'ai finalement décidé de me promener dans un parc voisin, rempli de bonhommes de neige, c'était un paradis hivernal. J'aime Paris.
