LESSON SUMMARY  

This lesson consists of a hands on science activity in conjunction with a group discussion about the students' observations and hypotheses made during the experiment. Cell Membrane- thin layer that surrounds and holds the parts of a cell together and controls the movement of substances through the cell

Diffusion- the movement of particles from where they are more concentrated to where they are less concentrated

Osmosis- the process of diffusion of water molecules through a cell membrane

Dehydrated- word used to describe something that has had the water removed from it
