The Greenwood District was often referred to as the 'black wallstreet'. It's a place where African American community can gather to pursue higher educations and where a group where black-owned business entities thrive the most within United States.

This was the reason why many young African Americans refer to the Greenwood as their ideal residency.

But , this doesn't last long. The community eventually torn apart after it's raided by a group of KKK in 1921, where hundreds of African Americans were killed in a massacre.
